Frosty The Snowman

It's that time for Christmas songs and Christmas trees! I love Christmas time and just the way everything around changes. Living up north I may even get to see a snow flake or two this Christmas, who knows?

This is about the only time of year I can turn on the radio. My all time favorite Christmas song would have to be "Walking In A Winter Wonderland." Growing up in the south, I never got to see a whole lot of snow, so just the thought of walking in a winter wonderland seemed so cool.

Lately I have been reading more than usual. I cannot explain why really, but I was told once that if I read a lot of books, my vocabulary would increase. I have honestly yet to see that.

I don't know about a lot of you, but I have trouble with reading the Bible daily. I don't know why, maybe it's the immature kid in me thinking it's boring. So, a few days ago I decided to purchase a new Bible. I tell you what, this Bible is probably the coolest looking one in the world. It's a charcoal color with the imprint of the crown of thorns. I figured if I bought a smaller, thin line Bible (easy to carry) I would be more prone to reading it more often. You see, the Bible I was using is one that is HUGE (one with the tabs, the notes at the bottom of every page, and about two inches thick!) It is really hard to grab this Bible with one hand when I want to reference a scripture during worship on Sunday. So I thought I would get one I really WANTED. The last worship service I used this Bible, I picked it up, read the scriptures I was using for one of the songs, and then dropped it. No lie, when it hit the stage it made this huge BOOM (stage is hallow)! That's when I decided I needed a new one.

A good Bible is always a perfect tool for worship leading. It is, however, quite distracting when it goes BOOM in the middle of a spiritual moment. Just thought I would lend some words of hard-learned wisdom to us worship leaders out there.

Really cool cover of your new Bible Chase. Is it translated in the Living Bible text or New King James? Just curious...

It's actually the ESV.
