"I give my life to follow, everything I believe in..."

I, (Courtney), am not that big of a Hillsong fan. I'm not exactly sure why, I'm just not. However, Chase and I were driving to church last night, and he was showing me "Mighty to Save", and even though the band did this song on Sunday, I hadn't caught all of the words. This line really stuck out to me: "I give my life to follow, everything I believe in." How many of us can truly say that we give our LIFE to follow what we say we believe in? I was very challenged by this. Most of us are fine with accepting Jesus to be our Savior, cause who really wants to go to Hell? But what about choosing to make Him the Lord of our life? Thats a big one... We tend to want to keep God in a box, and just get enough of Him to get by, what my dad used to refer to as the "deadly vaccination" - just enough Jesus to feel good about ourselves, but not enough to truly change us. James 2:19 says, "You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder." (NIV) But this knowledge is not enough, there has to be the decision to give our lives to follow all that we say we believe in. We have to experience true repentance in our hearts, and choose to live our life to serve Jesus everyday, no matter the cost. Like I said, very challenging...
